1. ORIGINAL WORLD WAR I FRENCH POSTER 1915 ON CANVAS BACKING – BY ABEL FAIVRE:  Very nice conditioned WWI poster  'Deposit Your Gold for France. Gold Fights for Victory.' Poster depicting a large gold coin with a Gallic rooster on it crushing a German soldier. Lithograph poster by Abel Faivre, 1915, encouraging French citizens to trade their gold for paper money, as gold was needed to pay for foreign imports. Has been conservative mounted on canvas backing for preservation.  Great piece for display in honor of the 100th anniversary of “The great war to end all wars”. Don’t miss out!

2.    Flintlock Pistol: an Eastern European, Turkish or Arabian all metal flintlock pistol with heavy relief designs throughout and rows of Arabian script on either side of barrel that appears to include Arabic numerals for “1135”. 4.  Mexican Short Sword: a 20th century Cadette short sword, 24” overall, for the Mexican Military College. Brass fitted handle with eagle head pommel with beak holding round metal ring for the knot (missing), ivory color composite, wire wrapped grip, cross guard with acorn finials and oval langet with relief Mexican eagle and “Ejecito Mexicano Heroico Colegio Militar” and push-button lock system, brass fitted leather scabbard with oval frog button bearing the College emblem. Engraved nickel plated 16” blade.  Overall very good  but handle slightly loose. The blade does not fit properly into scabbard due to blockage with about 1/2” of blade showing. Overall wear and age to blade. (Item#OC003/2-3)

  5.  Italian Mortar Grenade: a “Red Devil” mortar grenade, explosive top section with intact ring, black with red band painted lower body with fins and marking in circle at base. (Item#OC004/-1) $150.00 
   
6.  Italian Police Frock Coat: A Carabinieri Officer's Service Dress Frock Coat in dark blue with red faced tails and piping with bullion and brocade pattern collar decoration with metal stars, complete set of plain domed buttons. Both tails with deep lined pockets, Small size, very good overall showing wear.  Probably early to mid-20th century era. (Item#OC005/4-5)

   7.  British Medal Grouping with Documentation: a set of WW2 British Medals all with original and correct ribbons including the 1939-45 Star, France and Germany Star, 1939-45 War Medal and 1939-45 Defense Medal. This set comes with a small mailing box and a notification document for transmission of awards from the Under- Secretary of State for Air along with a paper slip listing the same medals and stars.   8.  European Saber with brown leather Knot: an unidentified, 44 1/2” overall European saber  with brass, four branch basket hilt and wire wrapped black finished wooden grip. It still has its original brown leather knot. The curved, slightly tapering, double fuller 40” blade is marked with a unique logo “ B. (Rapier hilt) F.” on the ricasso. Blade width at ricasso is about 3/4”.   Scabbard is nickel plated with a single ring . Overall very good showing wear to scabbard plating, darkening of hilt brass and overall age. Blade shows wear to plating but no nicks. (Item#833-5-6-J) $250.00

Printed on a glossy oilcloth-like material. Mounted on upper and lower wooden dowel. Cuffs with double silver stripes edged in red. Upper left pocket bears two badges as found. Interior with cloth waist belt and Cracow tailor's label. Each upper pockets has one tailored hole for a badge with shadow of a large ribbon bar and above left pocket. Shoulder straps have three emboidered stars each with a button for the shoulder cord under the right strap. Inside tunic has a cloth belt with clip buckle. Complete set of eagle buttons. Thank you for your patience.  NEW! 31.  Bulgarian Officer's Dagger: a rare 1930's Bulgarian Labor Corps Officer's Dagger, handle with cast pommel, shovel and lion head cross guard, orange composite material and single twisted wire wrapped grip, black lacquered scabbard with gold colored metal fittings, applied Labor emblem and chain hangers, plain unmarked blade. Overall a rare dagger showing paint loss to scabbard and general wear and age. (Item#P51) $1500.00

Thank you for your patience.  NEW! 32. Polish Navy Dagger: an extremely rare  Model (wz) 1922 Polish Navy Dagger with Scabbard.  Brass fitted hilt with decorated pommel, white painted wooden grip and crossguard with floral and axe décor, push button lock mechanism; plain blade numbered “3.” on ricasso; brass and leather double ring scabbard with anchor design on throat piece and laurel leaf design on foot. This is among the rarest daggers of the post-WW1 era. The design is a direct copy of the Imperial Austro-Hungarian navy dagger and was superceded just a few years later by the more familiar Polish Navy model (wz) 26. Condition is a low excellent with some flaking to the white paint on the grip and typical age. This example was part of the collection featured in the early Polish book on daggers published in the 1970's. It was acquired when the collection was liquidated circa 1990 and has been  in a private American collection ever since. (Item#P52) $6500.00
