About Us

Who We Are

The MILITARY COLLECTIBLES SHOP is run by military collectors Mark (Left) and Jerry (Right) with the "Bronze Fonz" (Center).  The shop is located at 9707 West Greenfield Avenue in West Allis, WI 53214 (414) 727-1190.  Feel free to call us with any questions that you may have.

We stock a wide variety of ever changing original military items from the U.S. Civil War through the current desert conflicts. We also keep a wide array of U.S. Divisional Patches, Medals, and Insignia available for collectors and Veterans that are looking for original period items.

Feel free to call us (414) 727-1190 or E-MAILinfo@militarycollectorsHQ.com us with your needs.

We have a lot of "smaller stuff” that might not ever make it to the web site, but please call or e-mail if you need a certain patch, a set of collar brass, or a few buttons or ribbon bars. There is no such thing as too small of an order!

We can help with estate valuations, veteran shadow boxes, memorial displays, theatrical and film productions, and just general military questions.

We pride ourselves on helping people get what they need!

Jerry

Jerry is the smart partner. Jerry has been collecting military items since he was 9 years old when he first discovered an attic box of U.S. divisional patches leftover from his grandfather's collecting days. Jerry now focuses mainly on WWII European theater items.  He also has a soft spot for military unit flags and unit painted US helmets. Jerry also has an extensive U.S. Women's military & home front uniform and insignia collection that he has displayed on several occasions. Jerry also actively collects the WWII Vocational school fighting knives made in Wisconsin.  Jerry is a published author, with several articles on military topics to his credit. He has just published his first book "In Service Of Our Country - The History of the United States Service Flag" on the home front blue star service flags. Jerry also serves as a Moderator on the U.S. Military, World Military and German daggers forums. Jerry has been selling since 1997 on e-bay as "Mr.Jerry".  Jerry is also a CAGA Certified Personal Property Appraiser.

Mark

Mark is the good looking partner. He also sometimes wears a pirate hat and says things like "Arghh". Mark's father was a Sergeant Major in the Wisconsin National Guard which sparked Mark’s interest in collecting military items. Mark started building military models and collecting U.S. Military unit patches in the 1960's. He became interested in German items and bought his first Iron Cross when he was 13 years old. Over the many-many-many years Mark has been on this planet, he has collected a wide variety of U.S., German, Italian, and Japanese WWII militaria. His own collection includes patches, pins, medals, flags, field gear, firearms and edged weapons. He has since moved along most of his firearms and is now focusing on collecting a wide range of German uniforms and award badges and medals. Mark also seems to like overcoats...and cannon, which is the plural of cannon...and they are heavy... Mark also does "farmer re-enacting" with his original vintage 1923 Case Steam Engine Tractor!

Our Store

MilitarycollectorsHQ.com is the web-based version of the Military Collectibles Shop, our huge 5000ft2 store that is located in West Allis (near Milwaukee) Wisconsin, USA. Run by avid experienced collectors Mark and Jerry for other collectors!

We strive to have an ever-changing inventory of original, period military and historical items from the Revolutionary War, U.S. Civil War, Span-Am War, WW I, WW II, Korea, Vietnam, and the current Desert wars. On occasion also deal in other historical memorabilia such as U.S. political items and Native American artifacts and relics.

We buy, sell, trade all military items from any time period, although the majority of the items we come across tends to be WW I & WWII era related items. While most of our inventory tends to be original items we do also buy and sell re-enactor and living history uniforms, gear and supplies.

Please contact us if you have anything to sell, from one item to an entire collection. Or if you are looking for that special item. We accept collector "Want Lists" to help you find those elusive pieces.

Everything we sell is guaranteed to be original. Period. We offer a 7-day inspection period on all items with a lifetime guarantee of originality.

Within your 7 day inspection period, if you are not happy with an item for any reason, just return it to us in the same condition as it was sent to you (intact, un-cleaned, un-disassembled, un-sharpened, etc.) and we will gladly refund your money! (less postage). We want happy customers!

Our Shows

We travel to various shows several times a year.  The biggest one for us being the "Show of Shows" in Louisville, Ky. But we do shows in WI, IL, MN, IN, and OH as well.   While we are unable to bring everything to the shows that we have, we try to bring a cross-section of our inventory, that best represents our store. We believe that there is something for everyone at every price point, and while it is great to see the  "big ticket" museum quality items at the shows, we also like to bring items that  everyday people and younger collectors can actually afford to add to their own collections.

We also volunteer at several local antique appraisal events, including the Milwaukee PBS Channel 10/36 Antique Appraisal Fair.

We have also done many displays of our own collections at local events and shows.   Jerry has recently displayed part of his own extensive American home front flag collection and other artifacts in the Wadsworth Library for the 150th anniversary of the Historic Milwaukee Veteran’s Administration Home.  He has also done a display of his Wisconsin Vocational School knife collection at the Badger Military show. He has set up a "tribute to WWII veterans" display as part of Harley-Davidson Memorial day event and has set up up part of his Woman's Uniform and artifact collection for other memorial day events at the Wisconsin Memorial Park and the College where he works.

Shari (Mrs.Jerry)

Shari is Jerry’s wonderful wife and does most of the heavy lifting. Putting in far more hours than either Mark or Jerry, Shari takes care of all of the on-line and ebay sales, customer communications, packing and shipping as well as keeping track of the financial comings and goings that Jerry and Mark keep screwing up.

Rick

Shari (Mrs.Jerry)

Shari (Mrs.Jerry)

Rick is our friend  that helps us out with cleaning and organizing the shop, as he says Jerry and Mark “are worse than 3rd graders” when it comes to keeping things clean and tidy. Rick has recently expanded his responsibilities at the shop and offers excellent customer service and is a welcome addition to our team.

Paul

Shari (Mrs.Jerry)

Paul

Paul is our friend that travels with us, sets up with us at shows and helps us to identify really oddball things and begrudgingly translates German documents and Japanese swords for us. We keep him around as he is a pretty good cook and to help give us some class.

Tom

Ricky

Paul

Tom is our friend that is a great resource for us on early American militaria and weaponry. Tom is also fellow flag enthusiast - having even more flags in his collection than Jerry does.  He is also the inspiration for our crowd favorite  "Tom Hat Bingo" game!

Ricky

Ricky

Ricky

Ricky is a  friend of ours that doesn't even work for us, in fact he has his own hobby & game store. But he helps us out so often at shows and with general information he warrants being on the team! He collects Commonwealth items and French Foreign Legion things.
